This is the most difficult news letter I have ever had to write.

Mandoline Affaire has ceased to exist as a performing duo.

Penny has had a devastating accident with a garden mulcher which has caused her to lose two complete fingers and part of another one on her left hand. Anyone who has attended our home garden concerts will know that Penny’s other big passion along with her music is her garden.

I do not need to spell out the huge effect that this has had on Penny and the physical and psychological barriers she will have to face.

Despite this terrible accident we do not see the future years as totally bleak and we will find a way somewhere down the track to make music together even is its just for ourselves.

We wanted to let you all know that you have been a huge part of what has made Mandoline Affaire successful and we value your support over the past years.

It is my personal opinion that anyone who has heard Penny play the mandolin is amongst a privileged few.

Thank you for your support and all we ask from you now is your loving thoughts over the coming months.
